Getting bigger and cuter!!!

The puppies are 3 1/2 weeks old now and they are so cute!  We got some pictures of the kids playing with them.  They are moving slowly but walk and have their eyes open.

Mia and Tru Puppies

Mia had a total of 5 puppies.  Two boys and 3 girls.  At 5:30 am she went into labor and was able to deliver 1 puppy.  She ended up needing another c-section after trying to deliver a puppy for over 2 hours.  The puppy she was trying to deliver was a little boy and the vet said he had swallowed a lot of amniotic fluid which made him too weak.  The first little girl she delivered was so weak that she died a couple days after the birth.  The remaining puppies are doing well and are moving around a little.  Mom and pups are doing well!

Mia had her puppies!

Tuesday October, 8th Mia had her puppies.  She ended up needing a c-section again.  She had 2 males and 3 females.  One male swallowed too much amniotic fluid and was stuck in the birthing canal for 3 hours. He didn't make it.  But, mom and puppies are doing great.  One female sold only 3 left!

Mia and Lexi Playing

Mia  and Lexi love to play. They both try to get things from each other, Kong toys, sticks etc. It’s fun to watch them as they wrestle each other for it then off they go again.

Lexi's Obedience Classes

Lexi is doing great in her obedience class. I am using her for my Internship for Dog Training through Animal Behavior College. The first day I took her into UVU West Campus for the class another dog charged at her, barked and growled. It scared me but Lexi just stood there.  She didn’t show any signs of aggression. I was so proud of her.  My trainers said she is a good looking dog and has a very good temperament. She is learning very fast. My second week of training a German Shepherd charged her also and almost got away from his owner. Once again Lexi just stood there, she showed no signs of aggression and she never tried to get away. She loves people and especially little kids. At the classes some of the military guys coming walking up to her because they said she is so cute they wanted to pet her, she wags her tail and loves it.

Mia was so excited to retrieve these 2 geese and she did a perfect job!  Way to go Mia!!!

Gracie swims!

This was Gracie's (3 month's old) 1st duck hunt.  She jumped right in the water and took off swimming and has been ever since.  She loves swimming. No luck with getting any ducks but we have a great swimmer!
